12/19/24 is the last day you’ll see more locals in the bar than tourists. A perfect time for local Dj collective More Dope Beats to put on a show at 10 Mile Music Hall. The vibe was that of a feel that this was gonna be the last easy night for the remainder of winter. With tourists getting ready to flock to this magical county, the locals know they will soon be out numbered. It’s story as old as the ski industry, lower class vs upper class, preps vs punks, dirt bags vs ski racers, a battle that has raged on for generations. But on this night, a night for the locals, music and dancing encompassed the community, much like ancients would break out in song and dance to appease the war gods. There may be no weapons or official war but make not mistake that winter break in a ski town is a battle.
