Jen Mack
The Keystone Summer Concert Series kicked off June 14th with long time musician Jen Mack. Originally, just a vocalist, she honed in her guitar skills to become a solo act. Her up beat energy paired well with her set list covering Blind Melon, Sublime, Pink Floyd, The Eagles, Hank Williams, and others. With an obvious wide range of musical taste, she was able to appeal to the masses. Her talent showed early in the set when she started to play the song that made Tom Cruise a super star. Yes, Danger Zone! Mack managed to capture the high energy song and delivered it into a fun acoustic package that set the tone for the rest of the evening.
As she kept her fans on their toes, wondering which genera she was going to tackle next, a very young fan (6month old baby) was able to get her attention and request some songs. After some translation from Mom and Dad, Mack played the babies favorite song, Light my fire by the Doors. Enamored with what was probably her first concert, the song turned into Wheels on the Bus, and then Old MacDonald with a bit of a punk vibe.
If you see the name Jen Mack around at any local events or bars, you will not be disappointed in spending an evening with her.
